Colossal Short Stories Collection App Reviews

Look and feel is very important

I gave this app a five star rating before, but now I realize that an app has to look nice. I have more than ten free apps that look so much better than this. I mean, I love this app, but I would use it more if it looked better.

Great App

Ive always loved the short story & Ive always got a book nearby. When I leave the house for work or running errands or when I go hiking, anything, I always take a book with me because you never know when you might be stuck someplace and have to kill some time. So for the time being, all I need is my iPod in my pocket, and with so many stories to choose from, I will have material for months. I hope someday they will update this app with more stories or offer another collection.

Short stories.

I love this app. Im at a place in life when I can take more time to relax and read. It is so great to not have to always make sure I have a book with me. Books are still great. But the convenience of having something to read on iPhone is tremendous. Thank you.

Best of the bunch

Priceless... Top Rated 5 Stars

A definitive must have for anyone who enjoys reading. I especially like the feature that tells you how many words are in each short story so you know what youre getting into before you start. Also really love the auto-scrolling feature when reading the stories, saves on the finger swiping. Get this at any cost! Well worth the investment!

Love it, but needs one improvement

This is one of my favorite apps as it lets me carry a library of short stories in my pocket. What Id like though, as others have mentioned, is a way to track the stories Ive already read. Well worth the money.

Short stories

I love this app

Great App

I love all the stories. I like having something to read no matter where I go! I would like to know which ones u have read though.

Awesome app

I love this App its like a small library. Saves me lot of bookshelf space. Very useful for my kids that are in grade school.

Thanks

Great. Thanks. 5 Stars.

Great time killer

This is a great app that provides a lot of content for the price. The stories ate pretty good too.

Top Notch

I absolutely love this app. Tremendous diversity of authors and stories. Top 10 app, easily.

Well worth the price

A huge amount of good reading material for next to nothing in cost. The 20+ Mark Twain short stories alone make it a good deal. Nice format and plenty of control over font size & appearance.

Short story collection

Great!thanks

one of the better e-readers

great selection of stories, especially from some of the better writers, like Lovecraft, Poe, London and Kipland. the only complaint I have with the e-reader as a whole is I would like it to have some sort of indication letting you know you completed a story ( maybe even a separate tab with the list of the completed stories) and more options for how it looks, the graphics when your reading the stories. otherwise, a fine app with many many short stories from some very unknown authors. Ive read about ten stories from people Ive never heard of and theyre really great. I would love, of could, genre break-downs, but I know thats difficult. and I would love to read more sci-fi and fantasy stuff. a collection like that would be a worthy buy! but at .99, you REALLY cant beat this. RECOMMENDED!

Awful

Totally blurry in full screen on iPad2. Waste of money

A LOT FOR VERY LITTLE

more great stories than you could ever read, for pocket change.

Ipad2

Blurry on iPad2.

Good value

A nice collection of public domain titles. Id like to see even more.

2400Short Storiew

Very nice collection of well edited public domain short stories and stand-alone chapters from books. The collection is uneven in terms of interest (for me), but is broad enough to find plenty of things to read. Most of the stories, so far, have been new to me, but some of the stand-alone chapters have piqued my interest enough to send me in search of the full book. These are OLD stories and many are decidedly not politically correct and use language that today is deemed offensive. Just think of it as anthropological or historical research and read away!
